About The Event
We will meet at the trailhead at 8:30 am and provide water with small buckets to these young native plants. We will also pull weeds that are competing for moisture from around the plants. Some of us will also continue placing protective cages on plants. Plan to bring work gloves, knee pads (if desired), and a hammer or small mallet for handling poultry wire cages and for driving bamboo stakes to anchor the cages around the plants. Bring a full, refillable water bottle and dress in layers for the weather. There are vault toilets at the trailhead. We will be working within a short walk from the trailhead. This project is suitable for volunteers of all ages.
