About The Event

Conserve Southwest Utah volunteers physically capable of scrambling down a 30'-high basalt cliff are being called upon to get ahead of a "growing" problem in the Cougar Cliffs area of Snow Canyon State Park. It takes about 25-minutes to climb down and hike to the problem area. Due to the vertical exposure and two 20" step-ups on the cliff, this project is not suitable for anyone with fear of heights or for children younger than robust teenagers and would require parental attendance.

Our warm winter weather and some moisture has promoted germination of these weeds. Many are currently in the rosette stage and can be pulled and left to desiccate on the ground if we get to this project soon. The more we can get out of the ground at this stage will mean that we will not have as many to pull, bag, and haul out in the future.
