About The Event

Chris Dempsey, former Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Massachusetts and past leader of the state’s largest transportation advocacy coalition, Transportation for Massachusetts, will share his extensive expertise in sustainable transportation policy and urban planning.

Chris will present Speck Dempsey’s analysis of Washington County’s 2024 traffic study for the proposed Northern Corridor Highway. 


The presentation will cover topics like:

  • Why highway projects like the Northern Corridor Highway could make traffic worse.

  • What strategies have been successful in alleviating traffic congestion across the country. 

  • How Washington County is uniquely poised to capitalize on these strategies.
